Acclaimed award-winning, bestselling writer Kevin MacNeil was born and raised in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Novelist, poet, playwright, editor, aphorist and lyricist, he is the author of The Stornoway Way, Love and Zen in the Outer Hebrides, Be Wise Be Otherwise, The Callanish Stoned, etc.

He is currently working on a number of exciting projects, including an album with William Campbell, his new novel A Method Actor's Guide to Jekyll and Hyde, a film, a play and a travelogue-memoir entitled Two Wheels By The Danube, which will centre around his cycle down the Danube which took place in September 2009. This trip was also be filmed for a one-hour documentary for the BBC.

Kevin has held a number of prestigious writing residencies in Scotland and continental Europe. He is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh 2009-2010.
